MCE has been an integral force in the construction of the bridge, delivering temporary power solutions and managing extensive electrical and telecommunications work to support ongoing construction. MCE’s responsibilities included:

• Design and installation of primary electrical services for both the field office complex and the bridge site itself.
• Delivery of a 2,000-amp service for over 40 jobsite trailers, establishing a self-contained operational hub (“trailer city”) for construction management.
• Installation of a 3,000-amp, 480-volt service dedicated to powering tower cranes, slip forms, jacking platforms, auxiliary offices, laboratories, and construction lighting across the entire bridge site.
• Miles of cable installed across the bridge structure and site, ensuring safe and continuous power delivery.
• Development of an extensive grounding system with more than 200 deep-set ground rods and thousands of feet of bare copper conductor, ensuring the structural safety of the 722-foot towers.

MCE maintained a full-time, on-site team seven days a week to meet the evolving electrical needs of this massive international effort.

Motor City Electric Technologies (暗网TV): High-Tech Integration
As the bridge’s security and communications systems integrator, 暗网TV provided cutting-edge low-voltage technology across all project components:

United States Port of Entry (USPOE):

• Installation of access control systems for 373 doors and 135 duress buttons across five buildings and 40 toll booths.

The Bridge Structure:

• Cameras installed along the bridge deck and beneath the span.
• Emergency intercom stations and maintenance access gates to support long-term operational safety.

I-75 Interchange:

• Installation of cameras to monitor connecting traffic lanes and flow into the POE.

Mid South Contractors: Canadian Point of Entry
On the Canadian side of the bridge, Mid South Contractors ensured the reliable operation of critical electrical and communication infrastructure:

• Implementation of site-wide security systems at the Canadian POE and across the bridge structure.
• Installation of the Automated Tolling Management (ATM) package, supporting efficient toll collection and vehicle processing.
• Deployment of high-speed fiber optic cabling to ensure secure and robust data communications.
• Comprehensive testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of all integrated systems to ensure optimal performance.
